Dunipace’s Herbertshire Castle Park awarded £12,600

We have now awarded funding to eight projects since we launched at the end of 2015. This is the second feasibility study granted money from Kelvin Valley & Falkirk LEADER Programme from our main fund. This project will allow for the creation of a Master Plan & Feasibility Study for the Herbertshire Castle Park, known locally as the Gala Park in Dunipace, Denny. The park is owned and managed by Falkirk Council with active support from Community Green Initiative (CGI).

Kilsyth farm to offer off-grid eco holidays

Based on a 1600 acre farm rearing beef and sheep, in the Kilsyth Hills, Ashley and Duncan MacGregor plan to create high quality bespoke eco-friendly boutique style holiday accommodation. Colzium House has been awarded £45,000

Another great project has been supported by Kelvin Valley and Falkirk LEADER. North Lanarkshire Council has been awarded £45,000 as part of a £90,000 refurbishment project which aims to increase the tourism infrastructure in the area. Shieldhill Butterfly Project Awarded £15,000

Being our first funded project, the Shieldhill Butterfly Project is a community project led by Brownies. It has been awarded £15,404 to create a safe and environmentally friendly garden space in the village of Shieldhill, Falkirk. The garden will be open to the public everyday as well as being available for community activities and functions.
