Colzium House has been awarded £45,000

Another great project has been supported by Kelvin Valley and Falkirk LEADER. North Lanarkshire Council has been awarded £45,000 as part of a £90,000 refurbishment project which aims to increase the tourism infrastructure in the area.

The use of LEADER funding will support the completion of Colzium Cafe and Visitor Centre by providing new facilities that add significant value to the Colzium Estate as an existing cultural and community resource, allowing local communities and visitors to make better and increased use of this amenity and in turn helping to both retain local spend and encourage increased visitor spend. The new facilities will act as a ‘central visitor hub’ for Kilsyth and the Kelvin Valley providing a central interpretation point for this area’s historical and cultural assets as well as information about key attractions and visitor interests.

The next deadline for applications to Kelvin Valley and Falkirk LEADER Programme is Friday 20th January 2017. For more details please go to the Apply section.
